Waitrose launch surprise flower delivery service for online shoppers

Waitrose & Partners launch surprise flowers delivery You can now treat yourself during your weekly shop at Waitrose & Partners because the supermarket has just launched a new online flower delivery service giving you the option to add a mystery bouquet to your grocery order. If requested at the checkout stage, a box of flowers will be delivered alongside your shopping. Each bouquet , for £15, offers an element of surprise because you won’t actually know what type of flower it is until it arrives at your door. It’s perfect for those who want to buy flowers as a treat for themselves and it’s guaranteed to brighten up every corner of your living space. Waitrose promises that customers can expect ‘beautiful seasonal blooms’ chosen by one of their experts, which could include sunflowers and peonies in the summer months, lilies and roses in the autumn and hyacinths and tulips in the spring. The new service is being trialled for online deliveries within the London area for now, but Waitrose plans to roll out the service to further regions in the near future. Lucy Matthewson, horticulture buyer at Waitrose & Partners, says: ‘We’re really excited to introduce this service to our online shoppers. The element of surprise is something really fun and we hope our shoppers enjoy treating themselves to a beautiful bouquet for their home.’ And of course, if you’d rather choose the flowers for your home, you can always browse a huge selection at WaitroseFlorist.com .
